Fashion Trends For 2022
When it comes to fashion, the latest styles and trends are constantly changing. To save you from a fashion crisis, I have done some research and put together the top ten fashion trends that are expected in 2022!
1.Sweatpants
Believe it or not, sweatpants are going to be a huge fashion statement this year. Whether they are joggers are knitted flares, sweats should now be a staple in everyones closet. They are no longer just for lounging around the house, go rock those sweats girl!
2. Jumpsuits
Celebrites have been rocking jumpsuits down runways and red-carpets. They are expected to be a very popular fashion trend this year. Save some money and closet space, go out and buy some jumpsuits!
3. Chain Belts
You know those chain belts we all wore in the 90’s? Well, hopefully you didn’t throw them out because they are back again! Pair the belt with a chain necklace and you are basically a fashion expert.
4. Blazers
That stylish 9-5 outfit you always wear, time to bust it out on the weekend! Blazers are going to be in this year and trust me, you don’t want to miss out on this trend. Blazers give you a more tailered look so, pair one with a miniskirt or some flared pants and go hit the town!
5. Bright Bags
Time to make a statement with your bags! This year, bright colors are all the rage, and one of the easiest ways to incorporate them into your look is a bag. You can pair your bag with a neutral outfit, or go all out and include color in every aspect of your outfit! Steer away from the neutral bags, time to run towards the rainbow!
6. Low-Rise Pants
Yep, you read that right, low-rise pants are back again. Dont, let the term low-rise scare you, try to embrace this trend! Let those pants sit right on your hips and ditch those high waisted pants you have laying around.
7. Shimmer
Shimmer and sequins isn’t just for the holiday season. This year, shimmer is in, so steer clear of those plain, boring shirts you see while shopping. Remember, the key to wearing shimmer is to keep your accessories to a minimum. Don’t go overboard with the shimmer… that is so not in this year!
8. Miniskirts
Maxi is out… hello mini! This year is all about taking fashion to the extreme, so mini and super-mini skirts are in. You can still rock this look in the cold by pairing it with some tights and boots, you have no excuses this year!
9. Bold Stripes
Time to embrace the bold and start rocking wide, bold stripes! Try to opt for monochrome stripes so you can accessorize with those bold colors that are in this year (this is a great time to accesorize that bright bag I wrote about earlier).
10. Cut-Outs
Don’t start rolling your eyes now, there are subtle ways you can rock a cut-out without going to the extreme. Time to go by some open-back dresses or keyhole blouses. Expose a little flesh without feeling uncomfortable, and you are well on your way to becoming a 2022 fashion icon.
